W-1 Champ stops by to check out the new Fight Planet MMA Gear.

W-1 Bantamweight Champion Adrian Wooley stopped by today to check out the new FIGHT PLANET MMA Gear, Boxing and MMA gloves. Just like our grappling line (rash guards and gis) our gear got the thumbs up from another pro fighter!

Look for Adrian to be defending his W-1 title sometime in June against the dreaded TBA guy.

Join us this weekend for one of Canada’s largest most prestigious BJJ Competitions.

This past Saturday in Montreal Quebec at the RINGSIDE MMA Event 2 of our Fight Planet sponsored fighters walked away victorious.

MISHA CIRCUNOV made his long awaited debut making quick work of his opponent with a TKO in about 40 seconds in the first rd. MISHA has had a lot of hype around him and for good reason as he has been on a tear for years in the grappling world and now finally debuted in the MMA world. Expect to hear his name more and more in the near future.

Also on the same card was local fighter Rory McDonnel. Rory pulled out a sneaky submission victory once again in the first round. Rory is a wrestler turned submission master mma fighting machine and is back on the winning track.

This past weekend at the Ascencion BJJ Tournament, competitors from across the province and abroad came out to compete for the first tournament of the Ontario BJJ Season. Once again the staff of Salvosa BJJ put on an amazing tournament and it is always a pleasure for us to sponsor this event. Absolute division winners as well as others, received some very cool new FIGHT PLANET products such as the new FP Gis and Rash Guards. Cant wait for the next one!

In California, one of our good friends, Carlos Diego Fereira, won his debut MMA Fight this past weekend. Diego is one of the Amazonas Jiu-jitsus finest and has been tearing up the Califonia jiu-jitsu scene this last year since moving out to Redding California. Congrats Diego!!!

We recently received some pics from our good friend BIBIANO FERNANDES, current DREAM Bantamweight GP Champion. Bibiano is training hard for his next fight in Japan and gave us the thumbs up on our new Rash Guards and Kimonos!

The Staff at FIGHT PLANET would like to congratulate our good friend Mark “The Machine” Hominick, for his amazing victory over Brian Caraway last night on WEC. 2.0 showed some of his new tricks and is back on the road to contendership. Mark is one of the owners/head instructors at the Adrenaline Training Center where FIGHT PLANET London is located.

So 2009 is officially over and what a way to start off 2010 than with an another amazing UFC.

First off the staff at FIGHT PLANET would like to congratulate SAM “Hands of Stone” STOUT, for a very impressive win over the highly regarded Joe Lauzon at last nights UFC. Sam and the crew at ADRENALINE TRAINING CENTER under the guidance of coach Shawn Tompkins, took this fight very seriously and prepared Hands of Stone accordingly and the game plan definitely showed as Sam picked apart the highly talented Joe Lauzon.
